Diwali or Deepawali is a very popular festival in India. Diwali is a festival of lights and crackers. Generally Diwali is celebrated on month of October. Actually Diwali festival is symbol of “victory of goodness over evil”. Also it has a nice spiritual history and people all over the India celebrate this famous festival.

It is said that, Diwali is observed to celebrate the return of Ram, his brother, wife and Hanuman after killing the symbol of evil Ravan. People celebrate this festive moment by decorating houses with lighting oil lamps & candles and blasting crackers. All family members come together to celebrate this wonderful festival. In Diwali festival time people also offer puja or worship to goddess Lakshmi for prosperity and wealth. Diwali also has a spiritual connection with other god and goddess like Vishnu, Krishna, Durga or Kali.

Diwali or Deepawali is celebrated in all Indian states and also Hindus from other Asian countries celebrate Diwali Festival. During this festival, people exchange sweets and gifts within relatives and friends, do special festive shopping, decorate house and locality with oil lamp diyas, candles, dazzling colorful lights and colorful decoration called “Rangoli”, blast crackers to celebrate this popular festival – Diwali.
